Danny Hendrickson

Executive Director, Hendrickson Foundation

Danny Hendrickson serves as the Executive Director of the Hendrickson Foundation, carrying forward the legacy and vision of his father, Larry Hendrickson, who founded the organization with the belief that hockey is for everyone. A lifelong athlete and community builder, Danny leads the Hendrickson Foundation’s mission to enrich lives through the sport of hockey, providing opportunities for players with disabilities and members of the Warrior Hockey community across the nation.

A Minnesota native, Danny’s own journey in hockey began with the University of Minnesota Gophers before continuing professionally in the ECHL and IHL. Drafted by the Washington Capitals, he has remained deeply connected to the game both on and off the ice. He annually serves as Director of the Hendrickson Foundation National Hockey Festival and co-organizer of the National Warrior Hockey Association, two events that unite thousands of players, families, and supporters in celebration of the sport’s power to connect and heal.

Since 2024, Danny and the Hendrickson Foundation have hosted the Warrior Hockey Academy in Minnesota in collaboration with The Malone Family Foundation. Together, they have created an empowering experience for Veterans participating in the Hockey Festival at the National Sports Center. Danny brings his energy, humility, and spirit of inclusion that define both the Hendrickson and Malone families’ shared mission – to his work as an Advisor for The Malone Family Foundation.
