Dave Cooper

Former Command Master Chief (SEAL), Naval Special Warfare Development Group | Founder, Verge

Dave Cooper is a Former Navy SEAL and founder of the Verge. During his service with the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, Dave completed dozens of tours, and alongside his teammates, successfully executed some of the most significant Special Operations missions in the history of the U.S. Military. From September 2009 to September 2011, he served as the Command Master Chief of this storied unit.

Dave’s distinguished service earned him a number of awards including the Silver Star, for which he credits his teammates stating, “Because it’s from our teammates–and for them–that we draw our measure of courage.”

Dave first connected with The Malone Family Foundation by serving as the Keynote Speaker at the inaugural Warrior Hockey Academy in 2024. This first Academy was held at the National Sports Center in partnership with the Hendrickson Foundation. Veterans from across the country united together to hear Dave’s wisdom on the topic of The Science of Resilience. His expertise and guidance will be vital to the direction of The Malone Family Foundation’s mission and the design of future Academies from coast-to-coast.
