Dave Soltesz is a seasoned executive and visionary marketer with an extensive background in philanthropy, sports management, and business development. In 2010, he was tasked with creating the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation and served as its President for a decade until his retirement. During his tenure, Dave led efforts to raise millions of dollars for youth, health, and educational initiatives. He was instrumental in launching innovative community programs, including the COOL Zone and Heads UP Pittsburgh, that positioned the foundation at the forefront of the sports industry.

Before his work with the Penguins Foundation, Dave held several leadership positions in business strategy and operations. He served as the Senior Vice President of Sales for the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he developed revenue-driving sponsorships and ticketing initiatives, and previously held executive roles with J. Edward Connelly, Supervalu, and Wetterau, where he honed his business acumen.

Throughout his career in both the nonprofit and corporate arenas, Dave has demonstrated a remarkable ability to propel organizational growth and create lasting community impact. Dave brings this ability, along with his unwavering spirit, to The Malone Family Foundation, where he will help drive innovation and meaningful partnerships to further the foundation’s mission.
