Vice President, The Malone Family Foundation

Originally born in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Greg Malone is a former NHL standout drafted 19th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1976. During his NHL career, he played for the Penguins, Hartford Whalers, and Quebec Nordiques, amassing 501 points in 704 games. His awards include Penguins Rookie of the Year (1976–77), Players’ Player, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Dapper Dan (1978–79). Later, as Head Scout for the Penguins, he helped the team capture two Stanley Cups in 1991 and 1992.

With over 50 years of experience teaching and coaching hockey across the U.S. and Canada, Greg remains dedicated to the great game of hockey. Presently, he continues to coach and instruct in Pittsburgh, passing on his love of hockey to future generations.

As Vice President of The Malone Family Foundation, Greg plays a pivotal role in upholding the foundation’s mission. He contributes his extensive on-ice experience by coaching each Warrior Hockey Academy and guiding all foundation hockey initiatives.
