Jim Malone
General Manager, Tyra’s Dairy Ltd.
Jim Malone combines a lifetime of hockey experience with a commitment to mentorship and his community. Drafted in the first round of the 1979 OHL Draft, he began a three-season junior career with the Toronto Marlboros before being selected 14th overall in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers.
Following his playing career, Jim dedicated himself to developing the next generation of hockey players, coaching minor hockey and serving as an instructor with Hockey Canada. He also contributed his leadership as a board member for both Minor Hockey and Hockey New Brunswick, helping to shape the sport at the grassroots level.
Off the ice, Jim brings the same passion and precision to cooking as he did to hockey. Today, as General Manager of Tyra’s Dairy Ltd. and a board member of The Malone Family Foundation, he continues to support youth development and community programs, extending the family’s legacy of giving back to the game and communities that shaped them.
