WHAT: The 2nd annual ‘The Goalie Game’ supporting Pittsburgh I.C.E. Hockey (Inclusion Creates Equality)

- Last year’s inaugural ‘The Goalie Game’ raised $63,000
WHO: ‘The Goalie Game’ features members of the Pittsburgh Penguins Alumni Association, local celebrities, and Pittsburgh media as celebrity goalies and coaches. Expected participants include Ken Wregget, J.S. Aubin, Greg Malone, Neil Walker (Pirates), Matt Bartkowski, Christian Hanson, Josh Getzoff, Joe Brand, and Andrew Stockey. Additional participating goalies are local hockey players.
WHEN: Friday, February 6, 2026 from 7:00-9:00 PM; All times below are approximate.
- Doors open at 6:45 PM
- Pre-game warm-ups at 7:10 PM
- Pre-game ceremonies at 7:15 PM
- Ceremonial puck drop by Ken Wregget and J.S. Aubin at 7:30 PM
- Game (2 halves) following puck drop
- Intermission game by Pittsburgh I.C.E. youth hockey players
- Post-game shootout at 8:35 PM
- Conclusion at 9:00 PM

WHY: ‘The Goalie Game’ annually supports the mission of Pittsburgh I.C.E. Hockey (Inclusion Creates Equality), currently celebrating its 25th anniversary season. In 2025, the inaugural ‘The Goalie Game’ saved the program. Pittsburgh I.C.E. Hockey is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing youth of all backgrounds with an opportunity to play hockey while using the sport as a platform for positive youth development, academics, and life skills. Pittsburgh I.C.E. youth hockey players train weekly at the RMU Island Sports Center where they also receive instruction from local experts and motivational speakers. The Pittsburgh I.C.E. program readies its participants for a bright future both on and off the ice with over 1,500 kids completing the program to date.
TICKETS: A limited number of spectator tickets are still available online. Guests may purchase at pittsuburghice.org for $15 adult or $7 child. Walk-up sales will be offered at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex if tickets remain. To date, over 600 tickets have been sold.
